Application Process

The Legal Services Corporation Technology Initiative Grants Notice - Request for Applications to Apply for 2013 Grant Funding has been issued, including the Guide for Preparing Applications. Please review this Notice and Guide, as it provides the requirements and information needed to submit a 2013 TIG application. Only those programs that received an invitation following the 2013 TIG Letter of Intent phase are eligible to submit a full application.

The deadline for submission of TIG full applications is June 17, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

To access the TIG online application system, invited applicants should go to http://lscgrants.lsc.gov and login as the primary contact for their program (usually the Executive Director or someone designated by the Executive Director). From the homepage, click the TIG link to access the TIG application area for the 2013 cycle.

Please note: If the Executive Director wants to add a new primary contact for the program's TIG applications, he/she must send an email request to techgrants@lsc.gov with the name, title, email address of the person being made the primary contact for the program’s TIG applications. Once this change is made, only the primary contact login will be able to access all the TIG information for that grantee.

LSC's TIG application process begins with LSC recipients submitting brief letters of intent. Based on its review of these letters, LSC invites some applicants to submit full applications. LSC staff reviews all applications for completeness and merit. From these reviews LSC staff prepares a "Recommended for Funding" slate. This slate is submitted to the LSC president for revision and final approval. Then, if necessary, any modifications that need to be made to the grant proposals are negotiated between TIG staff and the individual programs.

The deadline for submitting Letters of Intent was Monday, March 18, 2013.
