Open Call for the 2014 TIG Conference RAPID FIRE TECH Session! Proposals due by November 8th

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

If you had six minutes and 20 slides to share an idea, best practice, lesson learned (remember we learn from our failures as well as our successes), or to show off a Technology Initiative Grants (TIG) project, what would you talk about?

It’s that time of year again – we're accepting proposals for the 2014 TIG Conference IGNITE-style session proposals – but this year, we’re calling it the TIG RAPID FIRE TECH session! What's a RAPID FIRE TECH session? We are looking for short, informative presentations to share an idea, best practice, lesson learned, or to show off a TIG project. The presentation must use 20 slides which will advance every 20 seconds - so you've got six minutes and 40 seconds to tell your story.

Proposals are due by November 8th. Go to  to http://bit.ly/2014TIGTech to find our more, and to submit your proposal.

If you're not familiar with a rapid fire type of presentation, see some examples of similar formats, such as Ignite talks, TED Talks, and Pecha Kucha talks.

The RAPID FIRE TECH session will be held on Thursday, January 16, at the 2014 TIG Conference in Jacksonville, Florida.
